How the Process Works for You

  1. 2 Business Days to Respond Once You Pick Up a Job: Once a homeowner submits their request and measurements, you have 2 business days to respond. After confirming the job, you can schedule a convenient time for the stump removal.
  2. 5 Working Days to Schedule and Complete: You have 5 working days to schedule and complete the job once you accept the request. This provides enough flexibility to manage your workload, especially if you’re dealing with storm-damaged stumps.
  3. Payment and Finalizing the Job: On the day of the job, perform the stump removal and collect the remaining payment directly from the homeowner. Be sure to mark the job as complete when finished.

Stump Types and Pricing

As a stump specialist, you'll be working with different types of stumps, each with its own pricing structure. You’ll be paid $3 per inch of stump width, with a minimum job cost of $300 for up to 100 inches. If the stump height exceeds 12 inches, there may be additional charges for cutting off the trunk. Here’s a breakdown:

  1. Standard Stump:For regular stumps, measure from one end of the stump to the other.
  2. Rooted Stump:Measure from the end of one root to the end of the other.
  3. Storm-Damaged Stump:For storm-damaged stumps, measure from root ball to root ball. Even if the stump is uprooted, measure from one side to the other.

Contractor Flexibility: Manage Your Workload

eStump provides flexibility, especially during busy times like after a storm. Here’s how you can manage your job schedule:

Storm Traveler Specialist vs. Standard Specialist:

If you’re comfortable traveling further to handle storm-related damage, you can choose to sign up as a Storm Traveler. This typically means you’re willing to travel across state lines and take on jobs in areas impacted by storms. You can select how far you’re willing to travel for regular jobs—whether that’s 25, 50, or 75 miles—but with Storm Traveler Specialist status, you’re open to taking jobs that may require you to travel much further, depending on the severity of the storm and demand.

Flexible Scheduling:

If your area is experiencing a high volume of storm damage, you have the option to adjust your availability. This allows you to manage your workload effectively and ensures you’re not overwhelmed while still supporting and communicating to the homeowners in need of your services.
